Shrimp Gravy

Are you on Keto or Paleo diet? this is a perfect recipe for you!
I love this gravy with Roti or rice!
If you are on Paleo or Keto, you can pair it with Cauliflower rice or Paleo Naan !

Prepare the ingredients as shown in the below picture. You also need salt, Coriander leaves, oil and curry leaves.

Go for raw shrimp instead of cooked shrimp. In USA, the shrimp we get in Walmart, Target, etc are cooked shrimp. In COSTCO, they sell fresh raw shrimp.

Now take a pan and put it on medium heat. Add 1/4 cup of oil to the pan. when the oil is hot, add cinnamon sticks, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, cardamom and cloves. When the spices turns slight brown or when you smell the aroma from the spices, add onion to the pan.

Sauté onion for couple of minutes then add a pinch of turmeric powder and sauté again for 3-4 minutes. When the onion turns golden color, add the tomato and sauté it for 3 minutes. When onion and tomato becomes mushy, add chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, pepper powder and cumin powder. Sauté it for 1 minute and add the raw shrimp.

Sauté the shrimp for 30 seconds and put a lid on the pan and allow it to cook for 3-5 minutes. In the mean time, grind onion, garlic, ginger, green chili and onion to a fine paste. When you open the lid, you will see water floating and now add masala paste that you prepared. Put the lid back on and let it cook for 5-7 minutes until the raw smell of the masala fades away. When you see the oil floating, you can garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves. The Shrimp Curry is ready!
