Take a deep pan and place it on medium heat. Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and allow it to temper. Now add Curry leaves, chopped onion and saute until it turns golden brown. Close the lid, so that the onion can cook fast. You can add salt which will also help to cook fast. Now add turmeric powder and saute well.

Add chopped tomatos , stir and close the lid to cook fast. When Onion and Tomato get to a mushy state, add the spices powder: Chili powder, Coriander powder, Garam Masala Powder and Cumin powder. Saute well so that the spices blends well with the onion and tomato. Let it sit under medium heat for 5 minutes. In the mean time grind Coconut, Green Chili, Fennel Seeds, Peppercorns, Onion, Ginger and Garlic to a fine paste. Add the masala paste to the pan and mix well with a cup of water. Close the lid and let it cook for 10 minutes.
