My kids do not eat spicy version of chickens such as Chicken 65, Chicken Tikka, etc. So I have to try something new to keep them interested in eating:) This recipe is an Indian version of chicken finger and kids love it!
Ingredients:
- Chicken breast – 2 chicken breasts cut into thin slices
- Oil – 1/4 cup
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 TBSP
- Cumin Seed powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Curd – 1 TBSP
- Garam Masala powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tbsp
- Pepper – 1 TBSP
- Chili Powder – 1 tbsp (optional)
- Rice Flour – 1/2 cup
- Salt – as required
Preparation: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 20 minutes
- Mix Chicken breast, Ginger Garlic paste, Cumin seeds powder, Curd, Garam Masala powder, Turmeric Powder, Pepper and Salt in a bowl and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
- While resting the chicken with the marination, heat the oil in the pan on medium heat.
- Now take the sliced chicken breast from above marinated bowl and dip it in the rice flour. Make sure all sides are covered with rice flour.
- When the oil is hot, place the rice flour dipped chicken breasts in the pan to cook.
- Make sure to turn the chicken on all slides, so that chicken gets cooked on all sides.
- When the chicken is cooked/fried and it is ready to serve.
Tips
- Rice flour can be substitued with Corn flour or Bread crumbles
- You can use Oil spray if you feel 1/4 of oil is too much
- You can also customize it to a spicy version by adding Chili powder, Tandoori chicken masala and coriander powder.
